Return and Refund Policy

At Cross Country Rentals, we strive to ensure a seamless rental experience for all our customers. Please review our return and refund policy below:

  1. Trailer Return:

    • The renter is responsible for returning the rented trailer in the same condition it was rented in, free of any damages or additional wear and tear.
    • The trailer must be returned on or before the designated end date and time specified in the rental agreement. If the trailer is not returned within the 24-hour rental period (e.g., 12:00 PM Tuesday to 12:00 PM Wednesday), an additional day's rental charge will be applied.
  2. Security Deposit:

    • A security deposit is required for all rentals and will be refunded upon the return of the trailer, provided it is in its original condition.
    • The security deposit may be withheld, partially or in full, to cover any damages or fees incurred during the rental period, such as:
      • Damage to the trailer or equipment
      • Failure to return the trailer on time
      • Additional cleaning or repairs needed due to the renter's negligence
      • Charges for any missing or damaged accessories (e.g., tie-down straps)
  3. Refunds:

    • Full Refund: A full refund of the security deposit will be issued if the trailer is returned in the same condition as it was rented, with no damages or late fees.
    • Partial Refund: If damages, fees, or other issues arise upon the return of the trailer, the cost of repairs, replacement, or additional charges will be deducted from the security deposit. In this case, a partial refund will be issued.
    • No Refund: If the trailer is not returned at all, or is returned in a condition deemed unfit for further rental, no refund will be issued, and the renter may also be subject to prosecution.
  4. Cancellation:

    • In the event that a reservation is canceled prior to the start of the rental period, a full refund may be issued depending on the time of cancellation and any associated administrative fees.
  5. Damage or Accidents:

    • Any damage to the trailer or equipment, including accidents or injuries resulting from improper use, will be the responsibility of the renter and will be deducted from the security deposit.
    • Cross Country Rentals is not liable for any damage caused by improperly securing cargo, accidents, or injuries occurring during the rental period.
  6. Late Returns:

    • Failure to return the trailer by the designated end date and time will result in an additional charge for each late day. The renter may also be responsible for additional damages caused by the delay.
  7. Refund Processing:

    • Refunds for the security deposit, less any applicable charges, will typically be processed within 7-10 business days following the return of the trailer, depending on the condition in which the trailer is returned.

By signing the rental agreement, the renter agrees to all the terms outlined in this policy. Any issues or concerns regarding the return or refund process should be addressed to Cross Country Rentals immediately for resolution.
